HR Policies are the fundamentals which underpin everything behind your HR Strategy. The policies and procedures are the detail which you need to rely on in times of conflict.
Company policies need to be clear and concise so that everyone can understand them and they also need to conform to current employment law.
If you don't outsource your HR we would always recommend reviewing your policies annually to ensure they are up to date and take into account any changes in working practices within your business. If you do outsource then this should be taken care of by your HR service provider.
