Company HR Policies 

HR Policies are the fundamentals which underpin everything behind your HR Strategy. The policies and procedures are the detail which you need to rely on in times of conflict. 
 
Company policies need to be clear and concise so that everyone can understand them and they also need to conform to current employment law. 
 
If you don't outsource your HR we would always recommend reviewing your policies annually to ensure they are up to date and take into account any changes in working practices within your business. If you do outsource then this should be taken care of by your HR service provider. 
HR Policies will include: 
 
Disciplinary procedures 
Grievance procedures 
Expenses policy 
Working from home policy 
Training & Development 
 
It is important that everyone is made aware of your policies and understands the implications of them so as to avoid any issues arising in the future. As with anything, people like to know where they stand and what's expected of them. If you have clear and easy to understand policies then there's no surprises.
